BRIDGES mobility

Interfolk was coordinator of a Danish consortium, who received an Erasmus+ mobility grant to complete staff training courses, entitled:“Promote social inclusion with participatory culture" (BRIDGES) , December 2020 - December 2022.

Number of mobilities: 33.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemy the period was prolonged from August 2020 – July 2022 to  December 2020 - December 2022.

The consortium and the participants

included as applicant Interfolk, Institute for Civil Society and the two partners, Musisk Center Danmark and Det Frivillige Kulturelle Samråd, which both are national umbrella associations in the civil society sector of amateur arts, voluntary culture and heritage.

The participants represented staff from Interfolk, DFKS and MCD, such as managers, board members, consultants, instructors, teachers, and other paid and voluntary learning facilitators.

Background and need

The activities in the croos-cultural sector in the civil societies in the EU member states do not only provide joy, friendship, meaningh and lifelong learning for the participants, but they also have many potentials to promote societal benefits and added community values, like social inclusion, active citizenship and environmental sustainability.

However, these potentials can be imprioved by a more conscius development work by the learning providers in the sector and by a more continuously transfer of good practice examples between the countries.

Learning objectives

The objectives were to transfer knowledge and skills and exchange experiences om how cultural civil society associations can promote added community values.

The mobility plan intends to focus on some of the most important added community values, which we also have had focus on in our Nordic and European development projects.
