ADD mobility
Interfolk was coordinator of a Danish consortium, who received an Erasmus+ mobility grant to complete staff training courses, entitled: “Cultural sustainability in sparsely populated areas with added community values”.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemy the period was prolonged from July 2019 – June 2020 to July 2019 - December 2021.
included as applicant Interfolk, Institute for Civil Society and the two partners, Musisk Center Danmark and Det Frivillige Kulturelle Samråd, which both are national umbrella associations in the civil society sector of amateur arts, voluntary culture and heritage.
The participants represented staff from Interfolk, DFKS and MCD, such as managers, board members, consultants, instructors, teachers, and other paid and voluntary learning facilitators.
The objectives were to strengthen the participants' competences in promoting cross-cultural activities in sparsely populated areas with added community values, especially by strengthening the “citizen help citizen" approach, where voluntary culture associations can help to provide available and involving arts and culture activities with an added value for civic participation, community bonding and local identity.
We had planned two courses, respectively Sept 2019 in Lithuania, where RMDA - Estate Academy of Museum Rumsiskes should be host; and May 2020 in York, United Kingdom, VA - Voluntary Arts Network will be host. But due to covid-19 we had to postpone the courses and changed the second destination from York in UK to Pireaus in Greece.
The baltic course
We had a 6-day Baltic study visit, 11th - 16th October 2021 for 8 participants, where
we visited former Erasmus+ and Nordcplus partners in Lithuania and Latvia to gain new experiences and knowledge on how to promote cultural sustainability in sparsely populated areas with added community values:
